Why smart fleets run PSP on every hire.

That clean MVR? It only shows one state. PSP shows crashes and inspections from every state, every year.

Hire fewer liabilities

8% fewer crashes. 17% lower out-of-service rates. That's not marketing — that's FMCSA data.

Pay less insurance

Some insurers offer discounts when you prove you screen every hire. PSP is that proof.

Defend yourself in court

When attorneys ask "Did you screen this driver?" you'll have documentation.

$19.99 to avoid a $100,000 mistake.

Still have questions? We've got answers.

What will a PSP report show that an MVR won't? +

Crashes and inspections from every state. MVRs only show violations from the state where the license was issued. Your driver could have caused a fatal accident in California, gotten pulled out of service in Texas, and their Ohio MVR would be clean. PSP shows 5 years of crashes and 3 years of inspections—nationwide.

What happens if I hire without checking PSP first? +

You’re gambling. If that driver causes an accident and has prior crashes you didn’t check—attorneys will find out. They’ll ask why you didn’t run a PSP when it takes 5 minutes. “I didn’t know” won’t hold up in court.

Can a driver refuse to consent to a PSP? +

Yes—and that tells you something. FMCSA requires written consent before you can pull a PSP. If a driver won’t sign? Ask yourself why. We provide the consent form automatically during onboarding.

How fast can I see if a driver has crash history? +

Under 5 minutes. Enter their license number, state, and last 4 of SSN. We query FMCSA in real-time. Results come back in seconds. While you’re reading this, you could already know if your next hire is a liability.

Is PSP legally required by DOT? +

Not required. But highly recommended. Here’s why: Fleets using PSP have 8% fewer crashes. If something goes wrong, PSP proves you did your due diligence. For $19.99, it’s the cheapest insurance you’ll ever buy.

Should I run both PSP and MVR? +

Yes. They show different things. MVR shows license status, violations, and convictions from one state. PSP shows crashes and inspections from all states. Running both gives you the complete picture. Neither is a substitute for the other.

What if the driver's PSP shows crashes or violations? +

That’s exactly why you ran it. Not every crash is disqualifying—drivers can be involved in non-preventable accidents. But 3 crashes in 2 years? Multiple out-of-service orders? Now you can make an informed decision instead of finding out the hard way.
